WMR driver Caleb White heads to 2005 KART Southern Sprint Series
Banquet in Dallas, Texas

(St. Louis, MO - January 22, 2006) -- WMR driver Caleb White heads to 2005 KART Southern Sprint Series Banquet in Dallas, Texas. The 4th place finisher in the highly completive Jr. Super Sportsman class had to get up at 6:30 in the morning to head to the event in Dallas. In his opinion that was way to early. They arrived at the Speed Zone in Dallas around 2:30 P.M. for a 6:30 banquet. Lets just say there was plenty of time to kill.

Caleb and his good friend and racing buddy James Cypert got to test out speed zones concession karts. according to the two it was concession karts so there wasn't to much to expect. After showing speed zone costumers how it was suppose to be done, with tons of fun mixed in, the time for the banquet got underway. Steve Martz, the Southern Sprint Series coordinator, stared the night off with the door prize give away's. The series sponsors did a great job this year with prizes, from alpinestars gloves, to free powder coatings, to great karting related tools. I believe everyone in attendance went home with one prize or another. Dinner followed the prize giveaways. While talking and cutting his dinner Caleb realized he should only do one of the two at a time, as his plate ended up in his lap and all over his shirt. Luckly he had a RPMotorsports t-shirt in the car.

After a quick change the driver finally got all the way through his meal and the awards started. Taking home the Kid Kart Championship was Chance Bronstad. In Jr. 1 a up and coming female racer Erin Sims beat Evan Brown by just 6 points in the LARGE field of young racers. Evan Brown also won the TaG novice class. Peter Renager had the points championship in the bag for the Jr. Sportsman Light class.

Next up was both Caleb and James' class, Jr. Super Sportsman. In that class Andrew Martz won the points championship while James took 2nd place honors. Caleb had a disappointing 4th place award. Rotax Jr. was won by Gabriel Bargas, Gabriel is a very impressive driver for his very small build. Jonathan Beason won the Rotax International class with Nathan Mauel coming in 2nd. the two also swapped spots with nathan winning the RM-1
class. The headline TaG Senior class was won by the Birel driver Michael Pattison of RPMotorsports, a WMR sponsor.

Just because the banquet was over didn't mean you had to leave. So, Caleb, James, Irene Rose, a female karter who certainly knows how to hold her own, Jake Beasley, 3rd place finisher in Rotax Jr., David Holland, Rotax World Final driver, and Nathan Mauel all got rental karts and, well, hmm, clean driving wasn't to high on the priority list during this time of fun. It was a blessing that these karts are built to be so rigid. So in closing the WMR driver had a great time with awesome friends this past weekend.
